As General Counsel, Ruth provides legal support to LandTechwmi, LLC as it navigates environmental, regulatory and land use laws in connection with its provision of construction and landscaping services for customers, while also providing general legal support for LandTech's internal operations. Ruth's expertise in the areas of zoning and municipal law, environmental permitting, easements, deed restrictions and HOA law enhance LandTech's customer service by providing insight and direction for projects that present unique or complex challenges.
Ruth received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School following a three-year stint working for the Alaska State Senate. Before joining LandTech's team, Ruth worked for over 20 years in private practice honing her skills in the areas of real estate and construction litigation, receiving recognition from her peers as Best Lawyers/Lawyer of the Year in both 2019 and 2021 for Real Estate Litigation in Grand Rapids, MI.
In her spare time, Ruth enjoys gardening, cooking, reading history/biography and formulating plans for beekeeping and chickens at her home in downtown GR -- as soon as she can secure a permit for that!
